Frequently Asked Questions

How are appointments conducted? What is the structure?

Online appointments are conducted via telehealth and may be either done by confidential, HIPAA-compliant phone or video-conference.  I am excited to announce that I am now also offering in-person appointments at Moss Wellness in Garden City, NY.

The structure of our work will be determined based on what works best for you and your unique problems.  I offer a complimentary 15 minute initial consultation.  During that time, we can discuss your your questions or concerns and collaboratively decide how to proceed. Typical sessions are 45 minutes in length but we can discuss if something better might meet your needs.. A potential component of the consultation may include review of assessments, health records, or other relevant documents.

What are your fees?

My fee for a 45 minute, 1:1 appointment is $200. A complimentary 15 minute initial consultation is available for all services.  Group fees vary based on length, duration, and scope of group. Fees may be adjusted or prorated based on type, duration, and scope of service.   We will discuss fees directly in our initial consultation. I also want to do my best to keep treatment affordable so if you are interested in services but the cost is prohibitive, please discuss with me to consider alternative options. Fee transparency is important, so if you have questions, please ask. All major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) are accepted. Some people may have the option to pay for services with their Health Savings Account.  Payment is made electronically and is due at time of service.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance companies.  Depending on the specific scope of services you are receiving, your insurance plan may provide coverage for out-of-network benefits. This means that you are responsible for the fee at the time of our appointment, but depending on the work we are doing together, your insurance company may provide reimbursement for a portion of the fee.  I can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company to file for reimbursement.  I encourage you to inquire with your insurance company about out-of-network benefits.

How does being a private-pay practice help support me as a client?

Your privacy and autonomy are of the utmost importance to me. Because of that, I opt not contract or participate in any AI, insurance panels, or venture capital backed-platforms. A private-pay format allows for you and I to agree together about the type and format of treatment that is best for you without any third-party influence. I also have Business Associate Agreements for all of the technology that I utilize, which is a contract signed by myself and each individual company insuring that information will be handled within accordance of HIPAA privacy standards. This means that unless you explicitly consent or request otherwise, only you and I will have access to any information or data that you provide.

What geographical areas do you serve?

Conducting appointments through telehealth allows for geographical flexibility.  I am a licensed provider in New York State, which means that I am authorized to provide psychotherapy anywhere in New York.  Professional consultation, coaching, or presentations are not restricted by location. I am also excited to announce that I am now offering limited in-person appointments at Moss Wellness in Garden City, NY. If you have questions about this, please email me at
